Rail 1.0.0 (October 2026)

The first release of Rail: a fashion theme for clothing, shoes and bags, built on Shopify's Online Store 2.0 with sections and blocks on every page.

Giant wordmark masthead on the home page and a floating dock for navigation once the visitor scrolls.
Hanger product cards with arch, pill, plinth, hook and rounded-rectangle photo shapes, price tags, color dots and a second image on hover.
Six ready-made color schemes (each with eight editable colors), plus sale, stock and error colors.
Three font slots (Headings, Body, Accent) from the Shopify font library, with size and case controls.
Optional motion (swinging hangers, scrolling text) that is always off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

Masthead hero, Statement, Rail, Departments, Shelf, Editorial split, Wall, Fitting room, Mirror, Fine print and Newsletter.
Rich text, Collapsible content, Video, Featured product, Contact form, Custom Liquid and Product recommendations.
Announcement bar with a rotating or scrolling layout.
Header with menus up to three levels deep, departments panel, search, account, cart and country / language selectors. Footer with giant wordmark, newsletter, link lists, social links, payment icons and selectors.

Stacked or carousel gallery with alternating window shapes, lightbox zoom, and support for video and 3D media.
Variant picker with color and image swatches (Shopify's option swatches), buttons or dropdown.
Fit notes driven by product metafields, a size guide pop-up from a page, Collapsible tabs and a Share block.
Complete the look with complementary products from Shopify, with an add all button.
Dynamic checkout buttons, Shop Pay installments, pickup availability, gift card recipient form, sticky add to bag bar on phones.
App blocks and Custom Liquid blocks.

Predictive search and a search results page with filters, sorting and result types.

Keyboard accessible navigation, visible focus, labelled form fields and alt text, and responsive layouts from small phones to large desktops.
